Ingathering of Canned Goods
Sunday, September 5th
Holy Cross's food pantry continues to meet a genuine need in our immediate community. Your donation of canned goods and non-perishable items honors Christ and is greatly appreciated by those who are hungry in this land of great abundance. Thanks to all of you who give faithfully to this ministry.
Jesus said, "As you have done it unto them, you have done unto me." (Matthew 25:40)
We will provide our usual menu of sandwiches, hard-boiled eggs, milk, and soda. Please use the sign-up sheet on the Bulletin Board to let us know if you are serving and/or preparing food. The sign-up sheet enables the coordinators of this ministry to determine what additional food will be required.
Volunteer drivers and servers will meet at the Church at 6:00 p.m. to pick up the food and will leave the Church by 6:20. You can bring your food to the Church late in the week, and perishables can be stored in the refrigerator.
